Travel Must-Haves (for me)

In all my years of travel, I have found some items which have made travel easier. Little bits of comfort which help to make any place you travel a bit of home. Here are some of my travel must-haves which accompany me on my travels.

A hot/cold tumbler

I have always traveled with a water bottle. The last couple of year it was a collapsible water bottle, but recently I started to switch it up and travel with a travel tumbler. It’s a game changer. I reduce waste and I have a little bit of home with me that I can put any hot or cold beverage in I want!

I use the tumbler below by Simple Modern. It’s great it comes with two types of lids, a spill proof flip top lid, and an internally threaded straw which also is spill proof and who doesn’t love a reusable straw? You can find one at http://simplemodern.com.

A convertible scarf

I think this was the best purchase I made. This can be a blanket scarf or like the one I have from Lululemon. The Vinyasa scarf has been accompanying me on my travels for the past four years and it looks like it’s brand new! The best thing about this scarf is that it is so versatile. You can wear it as a shawl, a scarf or a blanket for those chilly plane rides.

Kindle or any e-reader

I love to read. I used to bring a couple of books with me on vacation. But let’s be real, books can be heavy and bulky. Introducing the e-reader. I love it! I can bring as many books as I want on vacation and it weighs less than a pound! If you love reading, invest in an e-reader. You’ll be happy you did.

Snacks

It doesn’t matter where I go if I can have a few of my favorite snacks from home I’m happy. For me, that’s a few snack bars. Something that I can have on hand that could act as a meal replacement if necessary.

Bring one thing that makes you happy

I think the key to travel is that although it can challenging if you surround yourself with what makes you happy, whether it be your favorite, mug or favorite book, or even your favorite scarf, it can make it all seem not so challenging.

What’s one thing that you have to bring with you when you travel? Let me know in the comments below. Until next time.
