WOD Wednesday: Open Special

Who’s excited? February 23rd is coming fast. It’s only a month away! I have participated in every open since it started. That’s crazy to think about. I’ll continue to participate for the foreseeable future.

There have been times in my CrossFit and fitness journey when I just want to throw up my hands and say “forget it, I’m done”. But I always find my way back. I’m not at peace without movement. It is my reality. I can relax with the best of them but the only way I keep from stressing out is by working out. For me it’s the number one stress reducer.

So here’s some stress reduction for you. I’ve modified Open workout 12.3 for your travel needs.

Original: 12.3

18 Minute AMRAP (As Many Rep/Rounds As Possible) of:

15 Box Jumps (24/20)

12 Push Press (115/75)

9 Toes to Bar

Modified for Travel: 12.3

18 Minute AMRAP of: 

15 Chair Step Ups (make sure the chair is sturdy)

12 Push Press (use Dumbbells or Your Suitcase packed!)

Roll to Candlestick

Just because a workout is modified doesn’t mean that it can’t be difficult. Any workout is as difficult as you make it, so push yourself to stay fit. Until next time.
